Getting Started in Archades

Thank you for interest in our RPG forum! We are eager to help you get started as quickly as possible so you can craft stories and have fun. What you will find in this page is our starting information, assembled as a checklist.

First off, we have several staff members who will be happy to help you at any point on this checklist. They are as follows: Jenna, Josh, Ralana and Speedy. One or all of them will usually be around at any given moment.

The New Member Checklist:

• Create an OOC account. It is to this account that you will link all of your characters in Archades. You can do this easily by clicking on register, and going from there. Please do NOT register an account in the character's name until the character is approved. 
  
  
• Read through the necessary information to familiarize yourself with the general setting.
  
  • The Rules of Play and Frequently Asked Questions
  • The History of the Kingdom and summary of recent events
  • The List of Families in Archades contains general information on each family, as well as links to house and region information.
  • All other information pertaining to the world setting of Archades can be found within the Royal Libraries.
    
    
• Once done, you can look through the following pages for character creation information:
• When looking at genealogies, names in white are currently taken (their name is actually a link to their profile).
  
• If a name is struck through, they are dead. A name in grey is generally open for play.
  
• Here is a list of characters that are wanted by various members of Archades and general open characters by House and Region. 
  
• Here is a list of the characters that can be adopted for play. Character profiles can be kept as they are or completely revamped.

• Now that you have gone through all of the information available, you can begin character creation!
  
  • Here is where you can find the application template.
    
  • Please post your application within Works in Progress. Title the thread by the character name. PLEASE post it with your OOC account.
