Fate? It was a word that before the marshal would have ever agreed with, but the twins worked in mysterious ways. While Therese wasn't one for mysticism she was a devout follow of the duology, so the idea that Luca was a gift sent to her by the twins was not far fetched. The woman seemed to think about it a moment before nodding in agreement, "It does although I honestly never thought it about in that way before." At the girl's admission of a hope to one day have such a loyal companion the woman couldn't help the smile on her lips. "Oh, I am certain you will. Loyal companions are easier to find than one would think..." It was true, while the knight had a general mistrust of everyone else in the world she did at the same time have men under command that were exceptionally loyal. They had helped to support her with out even questioning her ability granted she had already proven herself a capable warrior to the other watermen.
The woman blinked however at the girl expressing gratitude over meeting her. To Therese it seemed strange as she was still getting used to others wanting to meet her outside of the arena of her duties. Was Therese honestly making a friend of a fellow warrior? The marshal found herself feeling instinctively cautions as another friendship with a female warrior had tried to be forged years ago. Tamara however was far more arrogant regarding her skills with a sword and easily distracted away from discipline. Fira however, was different than that other man at least in terms of arrogance and time would tell for the rest. She had even requested that Therese spar with her to train her skills. The words brought a smile to her face as she nodded, "Of course, we could now or we can set up another time if you wish." Her smile widened some, "I'm am glad to have met you as well. Finding women like ourselves is...a rarity."

((OOC: They could also train for the tournament together if you're interested. ))
