The woman merely tilted her head at the knight's logic regarding the dual occupation. It was obvious from the expression on her face that the Dame was judging the man's words, or rather the man himself. Had he perhaps been drinking some of the missing wine? After her search was completed she would need to test this theory, if he was anything like her father he could cover up the scent of alcohol unless one stood close to him. "No, I don't think it would be possible at least on me. And, if that is the case then you are a terrible priest Sir Donatello." The lady paused not really understanding the concept of him exerting knight charisma upon her although she realized her words may have sounded harsh. "I mean no offense. "
Her fingers ruffled through the clothing finding mostly useless items and a few coins she gathered with the intent to give the other knight. At the very least the money may offset some of the value already lost in the shipment to his lord, and the dead men didn't need the money either way. Blinking at his indication of the paper slipping out of a pocket the woman quickly wen to pick it up. One side was blank while the other was full of crudely crafted ledger as the Marshal suspected. "Ah, here it is..." Standing up the woman walked over to the knight showing him the document that she held in her right hand, "Looks like those are the items sold, the price, and then the main percentages." The woman paused looking over the paper as there were three different percentages, "This Seeker is likely the organizer as they have the largest cut."
The investigation at hand paused again as the man now seemed distracted by the fact she had given him her name. Therese had suspected he would take more interest in her family name than her first, but yet she had yet again been wrong. The woman gave him a flat look, "Marie?" She paused, "How would you come up with-?" Therese didn't finish her question as she shook her head, "You're right, it is good I gave you my name." Again the Marshal was about to matter at hand when he offered her to come with him while proceeding to call her by a variety of titles. Lovely Lady however sparked a pointed look from the Dame now wondering if he was indeed making fun of her. Then again if he truly had been drinking perhaps that could explain his poor choice in words. The woman stepped now closer to him locking her gaze with his. She had done this enough times with her father that the woman should easily tell if he was under the influence. If there was any concern over how close she was invading the man's space there was no reflection of it on her face or in her posture even as she stood there for a near minute. Hmm, there was no indication of drink on his breath or in his eyes. At that the woman went to step back, "Lovely or lady are not titles I hold Sir Donatello. Now, do you feel you truly need my assistance?"
