Character Name: Arturo Montefiore
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Birthdate: July 30th, 1404
City / Region: Duefuemi, Seravino
House [ Birth, Marriage if applicable ]: Montefiore
Played by: Jamie Dornan
Appearance:
Arturo dresses like a man of business, which generally means that his tunic, doublet and trousers are all in good order. If he is sporting a beard, it is well trimmed and his hair is styled in a becoming manner. All of these are meant to ad his generally disarming smile and general demeanor. In addition, there are pair of gold signet rings on each hand, one representing house Montefiore and the other a sort of self reward for his first successful business venture. The man's skin is tanned due to a great deal under the sun. In truth, Arturo looks like a man who has seen the world and is eager to share it with you.
Personality:
Arturo is a bright fire in a field of ash. The Montefiore family has faced tremendous hardships in the recent years, tempering the normally bright and effusive people. It was understandable, Arturo supposed, but it also made him more determined. No matter what the Triune and life threw at them, he refused defeat. This dauntlessness is one of Arturo’s most noted features, along with his zeal, passion and love for life. Though, some may get wary of him, especially since fire has a tendency to burn all within reach.
Arturo has been crafted into a merchantman first and foremost. This not only requires such as skills as negotiation or salesmanship, but it also requires Arturo to have a good head for numbers and general situational awareness. Though he does not frequently present himself as such, Arturo is actually a very capable merchant and is actually better the management of assets than actual negotiation of trade deals. In an effort to grow his skills in the latter, Angelo had sent him to various trade cities and ports around the kingdom and world. These experiences helped Arturo become a well-rounded merchant.
Yet, that is not that defines Arturo. The man has a fire burning within him that years to be unleashed. This passion comes out in many ways, be it through social interaction with his friends and family, flirting with a lovely woman, playing games, riding horse and practicing with his daggers. Always is Arturo looking forward to unleash the fire, which has proven to be both a boon and a bane.
Fortunately, he is far more likely to laugh off a potential confrontation than actually let it come to blows. Arturo is fully cognizant of his powerful emotions and prefers to let the lighter ones flow free. He has found this to be especially helpful, since he has an unfortunate tendency toward somberness from time to time. Yet, the darkness is frequently kept at bay by his various hobbies, interests and social interactions. The man never did enjoy quiet introspection all that much.
When it comes to his family, Arturo enjoys being their bonfire. Angelo was a particularly demanding father, especially on Demetrio and Piero. Unfortunately, Arturo’s constant traveling has kept him away from his family, making it difficult for him to be there during the truly trying times. He is, however, generally supportive of his brothers’ endeavors, despite knowing that it was not at all what Angelo wanted for them. As such, Arturo views this as sort of drive: he wishes to be successful as possible to keep their father’s baleful gaze off of his brothers. The mainline Montefiore family has been through a great many hardships, and as such, Arturo is as supportive of them as possible, often distracting and regaling them with tales of his adventures.
Specific Skills or Abilities:

- Record keeping
- Logistics of travel/transport
- Art identification and collection

Character History:
As Angelo’s second son in a slowly growing line, Arturo was the subject of incredible scrutiny and determination on his father’s part. The man had seemed Demetrio a failure, though Arturo was simply too young to understand what it all meant. All he really could remember was his father’s staunch and relenting demands that Arturo stay focused on the grand goal: to eventually replace him as the economic mind of House Montefiore. Since Angelo would never be lord of House Montefiore himself, it was important that he leave behind some sort of legacy and Demetrio would not be it.
Fortunately for everyone in the family, Arturo was largely ignorant of Angelo’s cold feelings toward his eldest brother, thanks largely in part to his mother. Where Demetrio struggled with reading and writing, Arturo excelled and he also proved to have quite a head for numbers. Even though record keeping was an important trait for an aspiring merchant, Arturo never really needed the things, able to recall prices, quantities and other various details in the blink of an eye. Indeed, this quality allowed him to peer and prize apart minute details… which eventually led another hobby.
As he continued his studies and training under his father’s aegis, Arturo became perfectly aware of just how much wealth the Montefiore family actually had. While this wealth was stored as bullion and whatnot, a great deal of was converted into art, furniture and other luxurious items. Arturo was fascinated by this. Indeed, he began following artisans about and learning what was considered art and what was not. What was valuable and what was worthless. Finally, he had the great pleasure of shadowing a successful merchant by the name of Ronaldo Draconi, who also just happened to be a collector of fine art and luxuries. From then on, Arturo was determined to be a successful merchant for that very reason.
Eventually, Angelo wanted Arturo to begin traveling. This both excited and terrified Arturo. Fortunately, Demetrio, by that point becoming a highly skilled swordsman, agreed to teach Arturo the basics of swordplay and self-defense. It was a sort of bonding moment for them, especially in light of the fact that Arturo was essentially apple of Angelo’s eye. However, Arturo was no grand swordsman by any means, yet he did discover affinity and skill with the dagger and knife. Eventually this evolved into a penchant for throwing knives as he became quite accurate and swift with such weapons.
Over the next several years, Arturo traveled with Ronaldo Draconi to all corners of the kingdom and beyond, learning of other cultures and methods of conducting business. Arturo suffered many failures, but eventually learned and started accumulating his own wealth, as well as growing the wealth of House Montefiore. By the time he was 21, Roberto declared that he had taught Arturo everything he knew. From that point on, Arturo traveled out from underneath Ronaldo’s shadow to make a name for himself.
He has finally returned from the long journey out east in the sands of the Rohari desert and arrived in Bordelaix. It was time for the next business deal… or the next adventure.

Sabriyah's arrival in Archades happened more swiftly than he had anticipated. It was both appreciated and feared, especially since his men had failed to inform him in time of her arrival. It had been his hope to speak with her before she managed to encounter her father, but ... that was not to be the case. When the summons for his presence arrived, he had actually been in the middle of enjoying a piece of that so very mysterious dragon fruit Angelia had introduced to him. However, imagine his displeasure when a servant arrived informing him in one breath that Sabriyah had arrived and his father was demanding his presence.
Damn it. What good was his personal guard if they could not do what was assigned to them? A scowl formed on his face. The man took to grumbling a few moments as he finished his repast and made certain that everything was in order.
As he ventured his way down the halls toward main hall of their selected home, he practically sneered at the architecture. Archadean homes were so confining and stale. How could the people tolerate such an existence? It was no wonder that Bashir found it so very easy to look down at them. They were nothing more than barely cultured animals. However, he knew it would not do him any good to approach his family with a sour expression.
Instead, as he drew nearer, he put on a mask of pleasantness. "Ah, sister," he drawled out, "I am glad to see that you arrived safely... and so soon!" With a smile, he looked between her and his father.
