As she was constantly vigilant for any request from Elizabeth, it wasn't difficult for the companion woman to see to the wave towards the basket. She'd been wondering about when to put out the food they had brought, and now she had her answer. They had also brought bowls to keep it all in and a few plates for the group of them to settle their food upon and eat at their leisure. She put out the fresh bread that had been stowed in the basket and the accompanying spread. She got up while the conversation went between Lady Hannah and Sir Tyber, removing the wooden platter from Lizzie's saddlebag and then bringing it to her. While her Lady's legs might not work, she was most capable and willing to do things that she could, Toria had learned, and had no desire to take that away from her.
She listened about the Rohari talk although with a closed mind, stuck in the ideals of the whispers she'd been told which, for all she knew, could even be kinder words than the truth. The fact was that she wouldn't be able to recognize a person from the sands if she saw them. Suspect, perhaps, but she'd never met one or seen a painting to know for certain what they looked like, and the accounts she heard ranged from being the size of a bear to having red skin. Truly, she doubted the latter, but a small, illogical part of herself admitted in fear that it could be true.
There the conversation splintered, as she and Lady Hannah spoke about the much more comfortable topic of horses, while Lizzie and Sir Tyber spoke of the Rohari. "Well, I knew that some horses could be very, very expensive," she said, her tone highlighting just how expensive she thought they could be. Toria caught herself, flushed a bit and shook her head, hastily continuing her thought. "But I never knew that it was a whole industry of it. And, these horses are for simple riding use or... carriage pulling horses or... well I have no idea really." She gave a gentle laugh as though uncertain whether to laugh nervously or to laugh at all.
"Do you sell, or train, horses?" She wondered, looking to Lady Hannah though she meant the entire Sinclair family by her statement.
