Isobel was quite enjoying the back and forth with a dear friend, Lizzie Sinclair. While she disagreed whole heartedly that the Lady couldn't sell her craft, she was pleased and surprised to hear about the lace making business. Indeed she'd forgotten for a moment, and a flush came to her cheeks for it. "Oh yes! I did, and thank you! I have tried to craft it into a sort of... pin... I use in my hair. I do think we brought it here with us, so perhaps I can show you?" Her expression was hopeful, though at the same time a tinge embarrassed. "I'm happy to hear you enjoy the craft! Might I maybe manage in advertising it a bit for you with the ladies at Court..."
On the matter of riding, she was very happy to hear that Elizabeth had indeed been riding. At the mention of Tyber, she smiled towards the large man, watching as he was squeezing a lemon for her while still listening to Lizzie. "How nice! How does the saddle work, if you wouldn't mind? I didn't know they had skill in such designs. Or did they purchase it from a master horseman?" Isobel wasn't sure how literal Lizzie meant that they had it made, whether they commissioned someone or had actually provided the pattern.
"Oh, well, often no I wouldn't say so I've not taken the time, but that would be fun. We certainly should! Perhaps on one of the roads leading out of the city? I've not a chance to leave since we got here." She nodded again to hear that her men were not to abandon her if she chose to go riding. Again the redhead chanced a look towards Sir Tyber who was now using a knife to peel off some of what she assumed was sugar. She did not comment, with the thought to taste it all first. "Will they accompany us when I join you?" She wasn't certain which way things would usually go for Lizzie, whether they would leave them some privacy or attend in the case Lizzie needed a bit more assistance than Isobel would be able to provide. For example, she doubted she had the ability to lift her back on her horse if - Solara forbid - she were to fall.
She could tell the moment she asked the question that something had happened with her previous companion. Isobel's head inclined in curiosity as she waited to hear the end of the sentence. Chestnut colored eyes could only widen at the scandalous revelation, and her mind hastened to draw possibilities. She wanted to know what exactly Sarah had done, but was more polite than to press. "Ahh, well. Good then. No one should take advantage of your good graces." She nodded. Maybe she would get to meet the new woman later, then. "I aught to speak to father about having a companion of mine own. Not for need, of course, but for want." She did not mean to have a companion for the sake of having them tail after her to do her bidding, but rather for the company.
"Thank you very much," Isobel smiled as she spoke, turning to take the tea as Tyber held it out for her. She used one hand to come brush around his, grabbing at the arm of the dainty cup, steadying it. Once he let go, the Cameron lady brought the beverage under her nose to smell at the tea. She wondered if he would make himself some tea now that he'd seen to the women.
"Oh? Gideon has?" She asked, to clarify, as she returned her attention to the conversation between the two gals. "Oddly how?" She figured that it must be something rather noticeable seeing as Gideon was a bit rough around the edges as it were. "Oh, well, you know, everyone's healthy thank goodness. I wish everyone showed a bit more enthusiasm about our current destination, but my family is rather stubborn as usual." Isobel sighed. "Have you met my siblings, Tyber?" She intended to include him in the conversation. She also thought he'd get along with Tamhas if she were to introduce them if they hadn't already met, she simply couldn't remember whether they had.
