Kael shook his head, though his lips spelled a smile. He wasn’t upset, but he also thought she was worrying over something unfounded which he sought to remedy as soon as he could manage it. He just had to put some words into it, something unlike his usual manner, but that needed to be done. “We might be going different paths,” he agreed, “but nothing will change the fact that we are family. I care about nothing else that might happen, if it wasn’t for us. We are what matters, in the end.” He said, and his voice held a more somber tone which he hoped conveyed his conviction.
Despite all their aspirations, their intentions, their grooming or training, no matter what future they might be working towards - if their House broke in the process, if their family tore apart or forgot one another, there would be no point at all.
He gave a mild shrug as she supposed that the troupe might not mind an audience. It was the same thought he had, but no answer to give. “Tomorrow maybe? I can see if Gwyn would join us…” He hoped he could reach her in time, at least. With her being taken up by the Royal family, her schedule wasn’t really hers anymore, and he only had to keep trying to see just how much of him that she would be able to have.
The pudding as promised was then brought in, and the servant proceeded to offering to scoop a serving to them. Kael suggested that they see to Bree first, since she loved pudding. Really, he was just being mischievous. Nothing was wrong with the pudding, but she didn’t know that, and the worry she had was just as fun as an actual prank.
