Rowan was already chuckling far before Tristan had the chance to, "I told one knight.. and he didn't know what a ruler was.." Rowan continued to chuckle for a few seconds, he wasn't exactly poetic as much as he was an entertainer in dark and brooding times of battle. Sometimes the best thing for men after a battle was a good laugh though sometimes finding a dead guy with an arrow in his buttocks often did the trick... well if you didn't know him. Or if you did know him and he was still alive, it happened and laughs were had it was such a gloriously hilarious moment.
But attention was drawn, eye brows perked up as the word hunt had his full attention. "Oh?" rowan replied back near instantly and ignored the bit about a tournament he knew the expenses of such an endeavor but wondered why they simply didn't put up an admission price for all participants to turn a hefty profit even in the light of prizes and more valuable, glory. Rowan smirked when he heard of herds and even boars as he noticed the shudder in his fellow knight.
"Oh, come Sir Tristan... boars are not that hard, a reliable mount, a nice long boar spear just ride upon it and get a nice plunge in it's rib cage, hit a heart or lung and let blood letting do the work until it's collapse, then finish it with a nice piercing strike to it's heart." It's was a good method since boar were a bit resilient when it came to arrow, unless you managed to get a accurate heart shot it would give you a merry chase until it tired out.
Though Rowan then had an idea, "Though if you prefer we could go out and track a boar for practice sake. Or practice on a hart."
