Despite the harsh winters of his home, it was a winter he knew he could thrive and survive easily, Lunaris's greatest peak of tests was in the winter, the bitter cold, the harsh winds, the unforgiving landscape of snow all was a boon with brought comfort and challenge. Rowan couldn't live in a place that was temperate year round or even mild, it would be far too boring for his likes and the snow had a way of refreshing the soil for next year's harvest. No, he wouldn't have it any other way. His chuckle, however, wasn't something that was not entirely praiseworthy.
Hearing her speak of trees only one garnered his immediate attention as he nodded quietly before speaking his mind. "Juniper eh? Not exactly a lumber tree from what I could tell in my studies, far too curvy and lacking a thick and vertical body. Also makes it unideal to be considered for construction purposes. From what I understand juniper's only useful if the leaves and berries to assist in the use of alchemy, herbalists, and physicians. Come let's speed up a bit."
Clicking his tongue a few times he gripped the reins a little tighter as he sped up to a canter, riding faster past the merchants, commoners, and guard patrols alike as the city became a further distance behind them, and just as quickly he peeled off the main road and unto the far less than trodden path into the wilderness. Rowan was, of course, careful not to venture too far from the main road nor the city as he arrived into a small meadow devoid of other people at the moment, though there was definitely evidence of tents having been pitched here before, and caravan wagons tracks with grass grown in to indicate a long since passed presence.
Likely here during the recess of court where city security was far less than absolute if that meant anything at all considering who passed recently for reasons unnatural. Kicking off a leg and sitting aside on the saddle he pulled on the reins slowly seemingly relaxed and in his element as he horse slowed. "Hey... there we go.." Everett slowed to a stop kneeling to let Rowan merely step down. Standing back up once his feet were on the ground, Rowan adjusted his cloak and nodded his head to Everett as the horse stood and galloped away.
Resting a hand on the hilt of his sword he smirked and looked around at the peaceful, nature-filled isolation that was the meadow as he then looked to Susanna. "This is the closest place to the city that's... quiet and smells like nature, take in that smell.. maple trees, the chirp of birds, the sound of wind rustling the grasses and leaves. Magnificence."
