One of the people Gwynevere had been looking forward most to seeing was her brother Tristan, but it seemed the girl had been thwarted at every attempt to spend time with him. When the first arrived he wasn’t there with the rest of the royal party having been separated, when he finally did arrive she only had a few moments with her brother before he was taken away for meetings, and lastly he went back out to find the bandits. She knew it was his duty to do such things, and to protect the royal family, but selfishly the young lady missed her dear brother. Not only that, but she was worried about him! His adventures here were far more serious than he let on, and after her conversation with Princess Mariette earlier this morning the girl felt as though other things were going on. She needed to confront her brother on the later, but Gwynevere wasn’t exactly how to bring up the topic.
In her hands was a long, slender wooden box that held the gift she had just finished that morning. At least offering him the present was one way to break the ice into the many things Gwyn wanted to talk about, but now it seemed that once again the man was hiding. The girl had asked around after roaming the castle for quite a while before a servant mentioned seeing the blonde haired knight in the library. The girl assumed he needed the peace and solitude such a place provided after the rough week he was having so she could not completely fault him for it. Cautiously opening the door the girl winced as the slight creaking noise as she poked her head in. The Gardiner’s library was far larger than her family’s tall shelves lined walls, and then extended out into the room. Shutting the door behind her Gwyn carefully made her way around the corner as her blue eyes searched for her brother.
It wouldn’t take very long before the girl noticed her brother’s blonde hair although she could not see his face as he looked deep in thought. A quill was in his hand and paper on the table before him as he seemed to be writing? Gwyn arched a brow wondering if he were penning a letter? Trying her best to be quiet the girl crept around the table as her eyes glanced down at the table trying to catch a glimpse of what he was writing before making her presence known, “Tristan?”
