For a moment she simply stood to the back of the room nearest of Elizabeth, not wanting to interrupt this gathering but also needing to pass her the jewel box as she'd been tasked with fetching. It seemed again her Lady sensed her apprehension as she was invited to sit by her, which invitation Toria took without further pause. To hear Elizabeth, thought lovingly and teasingly perhaps, she felt herself blush. This was deepened by her cousin, Sir Tyber, agreeing as to his cousin's good behaviour.
"Of course, I do not expect trouble from Sir Gideon," she bowed her head quickly, more of a bob really, and hoping the whole topic was put to bed. She hated to draw attention, and especially to be causing Sir Gideon some grief on her behalf.
Her eyes went to the box with curiosity she hadn't trained herself out of yet, to see what was in the box. She wasn't so daft as to lean over to see, but of what she could, it seemed a pile of gleaming gems that Toria judged aught be kept very safe. She felt all the more blessed that Elizabeth trusted her enough to transport them. Then again, she hadn't been given many warnings and restrictions as of yet.
She also listened to the on-going conversation, explaining the trip that the family was preparing to take. There would be a Crown Princess, so it seemed, though this event did not mean much to her. Toria did not know closely the details of the noble families, only that of their royal family, and the local Lords under whom her family fell loyal. As to the mention of a wedding, Toria was certain she would know neither bride nor groom, expecting it meant the family was invited to attend one. However, to be able to attend with Elizabeth would likely be a beautiful event in the way she'd not yet seen.
It was a good question that Sir Gideon posed, though she was finding it hard to look his direction during conversation as she'd felt that she'd caused embarrassment for him. She was curious for its answer, that of the matter of the safety of their land in his absence. She had to assume there wasn't an over-abundance of men to do such duties, and to have at least two men, both in this room, removed from service at the same time might well affect them. Her thoughts drifted to her brother, his service in their Order. Would he be tasked for these things, patrolling roads from would-be problems?
