"I haven't been paying much attention to Tournament news lately I'm afraid. What happened?"
”Well I wasn’t there, so I don’t want you to consider me a gossip, but to my knowledge there was a terrible amount of blows to the head in the first rounds. And those lances are so heavy and so brutal sometimes, there were several bloody people at the end of it.” She wasn’t speaking conspiringly, and didn’t seem to take pleasure in telling him this in a way a gossip might, but she said it because he had asked. Lia didn’t stand well with violence. She had seen enough of it, in the short course of her life to know that she did not like it. Of course she knew that tourney wasn’t really violent, it was pretend for the most part, but the thought of all the blood made her a little woozy and a little angered all at once.
He ordered for her.
She blinked at him.
Lia didn’t interrupt him from doing it, but she watched the server take the order of two juices and she watched said server walking away. Instantly her eyes came to him and her mouth fell into a little ‘o’ shape. She hadn’t thought of such things on two accounts; it was interesting for her to see the garden populated with people willing to fetch them both some drinks and the likes and secondly he had just ordered for her. Of course he seemed to realise and seemed to pass it off quickly in his speech to follow but she was stuck on that fact like a loop in her mind. She blinked at him a second time and adjusted her position on the bench so as she was facing him more fully now; ”No- I – thank you – I think.”
