Rosalinda gave an appreciative laugh as he suggested that he was not a man who liked the bitter taste of defeat. She had to agree to that wholeheartedly. If there was a word to describe Rosalinda, it might as well have been "competitive". "I enjoy that saying, Lord Emery. And I believe it would be well fitting for our family of late, too. Perhaps it contributed to the downfall of the House Romanov. They were hesitant on their alliances within our Kingdom, and previously in yours too, my Lord?" She wondered about this piece in history. She couldn't recall what had seen to their defecting from Lindblum.
"Mmm," she made a sound of agreement and thought, mixed. She considered the line of conversation presented about Vasile, which was in line with her own pondering, and considered a response. "I appreciate the notion of fighting for what one believes in, and perhaps the Vasilian have been doing just that. But one requires a firm foot in realism, which might have been their problem. Would you consider their aspirations of independence as feasible?" She wanted to hear him speak and to enjoy a continued conversation more than she cared about the answer, truth be told, but Rosalinda would respect him enough to put effort into her responses all the same.
Rosalinda's face lit with mirth as he laughed, and seemed to be enjoying himself truly. She did not know the foreign nobleman quite enough to say, but he was either exquisite actor or enjoying himself at least some. She enjoyed the idea of being good company to the man, but such a cosmetic victory meant ltitle. She did not need for Emery or his Lord to think her a friend, but if it were possible, an ally to be depended on or in agreement with would be great. "Hear, hear," she agreed with enthousiasm.
"Is there much unrest in your Kingdom?" She wondered. "Some advise to share on how to handle it, perhaps?" She continued inquiringly, her head tilted to the side as she wondered if he would share his wisdom if he had it to start. Rosalinda did not think she had painted herself as clueless thus far, but she was not too proud to accept help - at least from the right people. And then, she wondered if the charming Lord would want to help her.
