Just as whispers went, she had finally heard the truth of it from one of her household staff. Usually, Juliette did not question the validity of the information she gathered, but for this she wanted to be certain. And as it turned out, Stephane was in fact set to marry, which betrothed was Elizabeth Sinclair, a cripple woman without use of her legs. She was curious as to how this would stick, surely Stephane and more importantly Benoit would not sit idly and watch this come to pass. While Juliette disliked how using Stephane in this manner was meant at the expense of the girl who might well be quite lovely if only unlucky, the marriage if it happened was the best she could ever have dreamed of receiving.
As she also knew that Antoinette, one of three elder sisters she had, had had her share of exchanges with their dear engaged cousin, Juliette wondered how she was holding up. With Stephane rightfully incensed now, so was confirmed by the whispers, he might seek to retaliate. While the youngest knew both her eldest sisters could handle themselves, she cared enough to check in personally. Next opportunity presented to her, Juliette found Antoinette just outside of the castle, perhaps enjoying some fresh air, and approached her.
"Ton? Are you busy?" She specifically used a familiar nickname despite the fact that the two sisters were never really close. She wanted to set the tone for the conversation to come, if her sister would even allow for one at all. She could also be summarily dismissed, considering Antoinette had a lot on her plate surely, but she hoped not. She hoped to at least be able to broach the topic.
