"Which may be exactly what she is hoping for," she pointed out quietly with a raised finger, "Some people simply want to see the world in chaos, my dear brother, just to see what will happen. Some do it for the drama inherent in the situation and the attention that they receive. Some do it because they honestly feel they are acting in the best interests of those they care about. It may be a combination of those factors, but I suspect any of those may suss out the truth of Antoinette's motivations." She looked down then, smiling at his question. "Never did I say anything was wrong with eternal peace. I think the more reasonable question to ask is whether or not it is possible to actual attain. As much as I find people fascinating and that I love them, I do not hold much hope in that regard... as is evidenced by our dear Princess Antoinette."
The smile turned warm at Tristan and Mariette, "I do not think there can be anything official between the two of them, but if they can have several moments worth of happiness, then I wish it blessed upon them. There are so many ways to experience that happiness and not everything path need be the same. Will marriage be likely for them? No. But I think they could make each other happy nonetheless." Which naturally led to her brother's question.
"I had an entertaining discussion with Sir Pierre, actually. He's a rather handsome and polite man. I don't think he considers doing much for himself, which is understandable, given his profession." A sly smile was sent her brother's way, "No offense intended, of course."
