The Marshal took a moment to think on the insight her cousin offered her. Even as a child Therese had considered both of her cousins to hold a wisdom that was beyond their youth, old souls, as she heard once on a tale. Zorion through his own admission also disliked socializing as much as Therese, but he was far more skilled. So she was curious to see what his insight was on the motives of the nobles who found themselves intrigued by her. “I suppose I had expected a different reaction when I arrived, but it is a good there is more curiosity than disdain. ”
Therese’s brow rose slightly at Zorion’s words regarding her qualities outside of her own spurs? The woman did not think she could bring herself to agree with him, nor was she sure she wanted to be known for anything else than being a good Marshal, protector, and talented warrior. “You’re not, I can understand that level of curiosity. I don't truly see myself as interesting in any other sort of light.” The woman was skirting a bit around what had been truly bothering her with such conversations, but she wasn't completely sure how to express such feelings. Did it bother her truly more than Lady Caterina had referred to her as a role model or that Sir Donato had asked if she would ever consider marriage? She did not know nor did Therese wish to place yet another burden upon Zorion.
His answer to her second question did a little to bring some ease the woman's mind as he admitted not being one of a social nature. "You are far more skilled at it than I cousin, but I have been trying to be more open to socializing while we are here. I just find some of their questions to be offputting ..."
