The quick shift in conversation was perhaps done on purpose by the lady in waiting. While she was proud of Tristan the girl couldn’t help but wish her older brother was there with them. Although watching how the two brothers interacted with each other did provide some bit of a comfort from her own homesickness. Still, she would opt not to dwell on thoughts of her family instead of focusing her attention on the two men.
The light snort from Klaus made the lady’s brows raise slightly although she easily hid her small smile. She was of the mind to defend Everett's interests, but Gwyn assumed the brother was teasing. Besides, he seemed rather interested in the book she has prescribed for him so instead, she turned her blue eyes to Everette.
I have not, You have, I take it?
At this, the lady grinned nodding, “Yes, I have...I'll admit I have a bit of a..." Perhaps this was too embarrassing for herself to admit to two older men standing there? The realization of that fact made the girl's cheeks turn a slight shade of pink, "...I have a weakness for stories about dragons, knights, and such things..." Letting her voice trail the girl glanced over at the book in Klaus' hand as the color drained from her cheeks. "There is mention of them even in that book that Lord Klaus has. Many of the Dymo family seals are of a dragon of one type or another. The pictures show the creatures to be a bit more serpentine than what I have usually seen drawn.” Taking another breath she went to pick up the skirt of her dress going to take a step forward, “If you’d like to follow me I can show you the storybook I found that had drawings of them…”
