Kenna smiled knowing that when she had to face the punishment she always threw a fit knowing that it wasn’t entirely her fault, but it was. She grabbed a hold of her father’s shoulders as he picked her up to carry her back to bed. It was the uneasiness of him dropping her that worried her with the joking nature and the fact that he said he was going to cut off her ankle, which she did not want. It was so close to healing, there was no need even if he was joking it was cruel joke at that.
Back in the comfiness of her bed she got settled enough to allow her father to look at her ankle, she just wanted it to be healed now. Not waiting for weeks on end for it to finally be healed. She knew she would never go after a sketchbook again if someone decided to take it or someone startled her, but it was disappointing that she would never see it again. Even if it cost her a broken ankle at best.
”Why does anyone scream during the night? A nightmare.” Kenna was ignoring the full question, even though Ian was not there in the room, she still felt that Niall would laugh at her response and make a joke of it. She didn’t want to be completely helpless her entire life and she didn’t want to depend on others to help her get around. She wanted to be able to explore as freely as she could without the assistance of having someone hold her up while she walked or get around from one area to the next.
”It was a nightmare about being an old maid that nobody wanted because of a crippling accident. I don’t want to be that person, and because I fell out of the bed. That’s why I screamed. And what are you going to do to my ankle? You’re not going to cut it off are you?”
