"Fine is not good enough for this family. How are we prospering? How are we fairing for the future? I've seen and heard about your future. I'm sure she's worried about hers. Now what about the rest of the family?"
Tio looked at his father with a frown on his face. "As far as I can tell at this juncture Father we doing well and things look to continue to go that way. I believe we will continue thus well into the future barring any unforseen events. If you want to know about the rest of the family you'll have to ask Trista, she knows more than I do about individual members."
"Then travel. I think it's time I remember who should be heir and who shouldn't. It's obvious to me now that you don't want it so fine. I won't make you my heir. It's a good thing I have more than one son,"
"I never expected to be anyone's heir Father. I am the second son so it would naturally be Gio who took your place and Emilia had her own children so I never expected to be heir to her position either. At least you have Gio to make heir, Trista doesn't except for me."
"Well I'm listening now. Nope you are no long heir. Go see the world. No need to compromise when I have Gio around. He will be my heir. He will help me prosper this family. Future generations,"
Tio sighed. This wasn't going well but then, he hadn't really expected it to. "I plan to help this family prosper Father, just in my own capacity as Trista's Heir and as a Captain. Why is it so hard for you to understand that I don't have to be just like you to accomplish that?"
"I won't bother you'll be too busy seeing the world. Good luck with that."
"I'm not going anywhere soon Father. There is still much for me to learn. But if you have changed your mind regarding a bride for me then I will accept that. Is there anything else you need to discuss with me?"
