Jean-Luc was not informed of what had transpired until after he had landed in Lockewood. Nicolette had opted not to tell him before hand so that he would not be fret with worry over the state of his nieces. Indeed, the man would have been insufferable on the voyage over, demanding the Architect himself give wind to their sails to get them to Lockewood on the faster. Anton and Marie-Louise would have no doubt unable to console their father's ire or worry. Thus, it was for the best that he was not immediately informed.
The first order of business was checking on both Mariette and Juliette, having only imagined the horrors that the two of them had experienced. While Tristan and Nicholas were no doubt also affected, they were men of war. Men of war had been exposed to those life changing qualities and had learned to cope with them. Jean-Luc's precious nieces, however, were unspoiled from such atrocities... until now. Fortunately, they seemed to be fine, but Jean-Luc promised to talk to them in the following days.
The next order of business was finding the men responsible for their safety. There was no preamble as Jean-Luc barged his way into the rooms assigned to the Royal Guard. The structure was not as extensive as the one situated in Bordelaix, but it would suit their purposes. Those knights and guardsman that were present on off duty immediately came to attention when they realized they were in the company of the Marshal. "Nicholas Miller and Tristan Deschennes, to me. Immediately!"
