It was … interesting to be a guest of the castle. Granted, that none of the Deverauxs had ever really seen him before was a bit of boon. From the cut of his cloth, it was very obvious this dark haired, handsome man with the fine clothing was some sort of noble. That he moved and behaved with all of the typical and expected courtly graces only served to enhance this image. Indeed, Dante’s behavior served as a testimony to his parents’ and twin sister’s upbringing. Dante Sandoval was very much the courtly gentleman, but to the eyes of many within the castle, he was a man of mystery. This pleased him greatly.
The Chateau was a beautiful one, especially with the view of the lake. The exiled prince could not fault them for their location, and even felt a bit envious for it. Talencia, certainly, had its own beauties and appeals, but there was something wholly different and new here in Bordelaix for Dante. Whether that novelty would wear off remained to be seen. For now, Dante was intent and content to enjoy what was put forth before him.
The man also preferred playing about in the night. Such activities would no doubt be frowned upon by the Castle Guard and Clavigers, but the moon was rising high in a sky bereft of clouds. The moon still permitted several stars to shine through if only because it was gibbous. It cast a curious light upon the gardens, producing curious shadows and enhanced the beauty of those flowers that opted not to close against the twilight. What Dante was curious about was finding another nightly soul. Were all the Deverauxs only of the day, or did a few dare to venture in the night?
