Finally, they were on their way from Gilboa. It was not that Gabriel was unable to finish a good deal of business while in the fine city, it was more that he had far more pressing matters that required his attention. Bordelaix would be the hub of such for the foreseeable future. If the Blackthornes were successful in their petitions, they would see an expansion of operations would spur the need for him to travel all the more. Gabriel detested staying in one place for overly long, even if it was his home. All places, no matter how wonderful they seemed to be, eventually bored him.
Fortunately, being upon the deck of a ship moving easily along the coast line of the Sea of Acasa put him in good spirits. What that actually meant was hard to determine. The prospect of new experiences to be had was greatly appealing to him, especially in light of the business that could finally be completed in Bordelaix. There was also a little bird with whom he was eager to reunite. For now, though, he had to occupy his time with idle matters.
One of the tasks that he took upon himself was to maintain some sort of connection with his family members. Regular meetings with Remy kept him apprised of the various goings on within the Bank and the Kingdom. It was interactions with his siblings that kept him aware of their... activities. As he casually strolled along the top deck of the vessel, he happened to spot Michel. Gabriel approached him, giving him a slight nod, but saying nothing else.
Perhaps others would be sniffing around, too...
