Franz had watched her from afar for some time, since he had first heard whisper of his brother’s mis-behaviour. It was in his interest to keep an eye, in his interest to protect his family and so he had watched from the shadows. He had followed her just twice since his family’s arrival here in the capitol and never did he approach her. Ra found her beautiful, incredibly so and sunshine seemed to follow her footsteps down the darkest of paths. But he did not interfere, she was his brothers, and he was jealous of that.
He knew his brother was seeking her hand and knew his brother was meeting her family. He did not, yet know how this meeting had gone, though he had kept a watchful eye from the street until his brother was lead into the house. Then he had gone in search of the younger sister. While his brother was busy, he intended to find out a little more about this woman his brother intended to make his wife – and whom Ra had become a little fixated with. He hoped, a part of him, that meeting her would shatter the golden pedestal he painted her on in his mind.
She was not difficult for him to find.
And today, unlike the others, he allowed her to see him. Approaching, dressed smart in all black, before her. Hands in his pockets, eyes bright, he called to her as he came upon her; ”Lady Montefiore-“ He gave a gallant bow, and a handsome smile. When he behaved so, he was like his older brother – the two looked incredibly alike and some days would pass for twins.
