Since the tavern had worked out so well with Lord Delamara, Daragh decided to risk it a second time for his second meeting on business. Inviting Lord Cameron of Marlowe to join him for some good ale and even better food, he took the time to secure a private dining room so they could talk privately and at their leisure. He didn't want to be rushed either in his meal or his business. Waiting for Niall in that dining room, he had left instructions for the tavern keeper to show the burly, bearded man back promptly and with courtesy, ensuring it with a few coins.
It wasn't the most formal of atmospheres, which he thought might be a relief for both men. He had put off approaching any of the Dukes for just that reason, wanting to gain some more practice and skill in talking business matters first. Daragh didn't want to show how green he was to those upper ranked men if he didn't have. Standing by the window, he was watching for his guest, thinking on what he could offer and what he hoped to gain. This time, unlike with Lord Delamara, he was going to put his lumber and a marriage on the table. A family full of women needed husbands.
Bracing an arm on the window-frame, he rested his forehead there and closed his eyes. Aydan was nowhere to be found, making him worry again. His Uncle had a bad habit of dis-appearing without a word of explanation, and one of these days, Daragh feared he'd never return. Trying not to brood on it, he leaned out the window discreetly, thinking he caught a glimpse of the unmistakable person who was Niall Cameron.
