The royal summons had only arrived at the Fontaine house a couple of days ago, already it was causing an uproar of commotion in the family itself as decisions were being made. Who would Tamara take with her, who did the family want to seek out at court, and how would having a female ruler affect their future? Those were merely some of the questions her uncles discussed with her in length offering, shoving, their opinions in front of her. The Countess again found herself reminding the men of their place within the household by saying she would take time to consider their opinions and then make her decisions. She would not however promise to seek out their advice on the matter. The nineteen year old needed to prove herself capable of forming her own plans without leaning on the house elders. If she were to get stuck on something she would seek out help, but it would be from those who's insight she trusted.
Looking through her father's documents had provided the young woman with some ideas already of who to seek out when in Boredelaix when they arrived. There were some old trade agreements that had collected dust and never acted upon which needed to be revisited. And some new ventures that the woman had in mind as well if rumors were true on who would be in attendance at the capital. With these plans in mind the young woman decided to seek out cousin Charlotte at the woman's shop and forge in the village. Her cousin was close to her own age, and independent like herself, or even more so. Tamara had longed to become a knight in service to the Deveraux so she could live a life of adventure with the royal court as her backdrop, but family responsibility that crushed that dream. Giving up the role of Countess meant giving up her family's position in the house directly affecting her siblings. If her cousin was put in the same position Tamara was sure she would have found a way to do both, or focus on her work. Charlotte was an artist shaping leather, and steal to her will to create works of practical beauty. Swords, armor, horseshoes, saddles, and other gear were just some of the wonderfully crafted items her cousin made in her shop. Few other's processed such a skill as Charlotte did, and it was about time the kingdom saw her cousin's work.
Tying Ranger off in the stable's next to the blacksmith shop the woman gave the young pony a gentle pat on the nose before her gaze moved towards the shop. She could already hear the clanging of a hammer hitting steal which likely meant the blacksmith was in the forge area rather than the actual shop. Turning away the woman headed towards the open work spacethat was missing a fourth wall, made with the purpose of buyers being able to speak with the blacksmith while she was working while also letting out the heat of the intense fires. "Charlotte?" Tamara called out as she rounded the corner ignoring the waves of intense heat licking at the woman's pale cheeks.
