Itsaso was a punctual lady. If she said she would be somewhere, or was asked to be somewhere, she would show. Not only, she would be early. Her schedule here in Bordelaix had been filled with dates and times of day to be someplace. Whether it be in preparation for a feast, or for the tournament. Whether it be to meet with her sisters or her cousins, or even for a trip with her father around the city. Thankfully, such a trip allowed her to glance at the many shops and areas around where they were lodged, which meant that given her memory she could return during some down time.
In this case, she'd gone along with her sisters to a beautiful garden area, with well travelled paths, but exceedingly maintained greenerie as a decor. Not far off from here, if she was right, was a view of the lake which was worthy of a pause. It was her next stop after this. For now, she'd spent a good hour lazily walking and enjoying the chatter with her family, before her younger sisters thought to head back to their residence. It was quite warm outside, the sun beating on her skin, but she did not wish to go indoors. Her sisters promised to send a servant to find her, which had brought along a ready-made drink for her.
But Itsaso wanted some quiet, so she could watch people. At the same time, she could practice what she'd learned about them, what they looked like, what they wore, the accent of how they spoke. If she was to make matches here in the capital, it would be best not to suggest a terrible pairing which would at once mock her skill, but also be quite frowned upon.
She managed to convince her maid to come back within the hour if she'd not come home by her own will. And with that, Itsaso set to sipping at her quickly emptying drink, and resumed her affairs. She was primed to feel the spirits of those who came through the garden. Sometimes there was a pair walking together, and sometimes even Itsaso could venture a guess of whom they might be, based on having seen and spoken of many faces with her father and others during the past ceremonies.
The heat was gaining on her, more than she took note. In fact, she was quite sweating in her dress, although she'd opted for something light in layers for this exact reason. Her drink was gone before she wanted to leave, and so stubbornly remained on the bench. Plus, it hadn't been an hour yet to be shepherded back.
"Distracted," she spoke to herself in a low voice as she watched a man stride through the garden with, it seemed, a destination in mind. Turning her eyes in another direction, she channelled some of that energy towards to two ladies walking in a leisurely pace, almost out of her sight. "In love," she said, smiling kindly. She could feel the rare happiness and passion of the spirit attached to the one on the right. Quietly still, Itsaso gave a small prayer in thanks to the spirits.
