The weather was pleasant, and the royal gardens, in all their splendor, awaited exploration. All Arrosa was waiting for was a friend to share the scene with, and she was glad that Annemarie and Sage Gardiner had agreed to a jaunt around the gardens with her. After she had moved back into her family's home, Arrosa missed her friends in the Gardiner family. She had spent so many years with them, it was hard to return to her people and feel like an outsider. At the very least she hoped that spending time with her friends today would help her feel less lonely. She wanted to enjoy herself; it wasn't every day Arrosa got to explore the chateau gardens, after all.
Arrosa found a good place to sit on a bench near some orchids. She smoothed out her dress as she sat and looked about her, studying the different flowers with their vibrant colors and shapes. There was so much to see. Part of the reason Arrosa loved gardens was because they never ceased to offer something beautiful to look at. Arrosa never got tired of growing things, and she thought she could at least look forward to having full rein of the gardens back home once she returned to Estersea. Of course she would miss the Gardiner's beautiful gardens and the flowers she had worked on there, but it was not always a terrible thing to make changes. At the very least, Arrosa would be able to do her family proud and feel a connection with her homeland that had waned since she'd left for Shelbourne. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to be back in Estersea, and spending time with her relatives would help her feel less out of place, she was sure. In the mean time, though, Arrosa looked forward to spending some quality time with her friends before they all went their separate ways.
