The day have been a boisterous one, filled with sights and sounds around. Having taken her art supplies with her into the shopping district and sitting upon a fountain’s edge, Kenna had taken in the sights by drawing what came naturally to her. She had wandered amongst the shops and moved around the area with ease, finding herself looking and simply enjoying the fresh air.
Kenna had taken various times out of her day to capture the scenes around her, giving quick sketches here and there, as she moved through the marketplace. She had found herself wandering away from the marketplace into rougher patches of area, but she paid it no mind as she walked through with her sketchbook in one hand and a piece of charcoal in the other. Somehow finding herself near the crashing of water hitting rocks, Kenna looked up to find she was near the lake, but she didn’t seem to remember how she gotten there.
When one is content enough to simply wander, the way is open. Now Kenna was simply confused at the matter at hand. How was she was going to get back to their second home when she couldn’t even remember how she got here in the first place. The sun wasn’t high in the sky anymore as it dipped toward the west close to reaching the point on where it set for the day and darkness clung to the shadows. She knew this was not Marlowe, where the people would have helped her home, but even now she didn’t know what she could do. Stay in one place and hope someone passing her by could help her out?
Kenna found herself in a wooded area near the lake, away from any well traveled paths, having taken the time to draw once more, but now she didn’t even feel comfortable doing that. Did she go up that path back to the marketplace, or was it that way? Her nerves were coming to a short fuse as she lost concentration of which way was which.
”Which way did I come up from? No, it couldn’t have been that way. “ Kenna spoke to herself as she held her fingers to her lips lost in thought as the poor girl looked around her surroundings hoping anyone was passing by to help the poor teenager out. She would probably never hear the end of it, if she was lost for the night.
