Leona Sforza was a woman of incredible beauty. She had fiery red hair, which drew attention wherever she went, for it glowed like the flickering embers or the heated setting sun. But, more than that, she had a beauty so rarely seen across the lands, angular features that were pearl-like and soft seemed to give her a radiance. She was awe-striking, and still so young in her mid-twenties. As a Sforza she had a flare for fashion and a taste for richness in fabric and design. So, if her features did not attract the eyes of others the soft mint of her Empire cut, floor-length gown would. The gown was scooped at the bust and wore a band of glittering and sparkling stones and beads. They catch the sun as she moved, giving the illusion that each step was a dance, and she moved so gracefully it well could’ve been.
It was this trophy-like beauty that saw her married at sixteen to a man who paid a high price for the ownership and possession he had over her. It was this incredible class and such desirable radiance that made her husband a jealous bully of a man who bruised her with heavy fists when that jealousy sent him into rages or too much alcohol numbed his ability to think-straight.
But he was not to bother her for now- she had moved in to be with her family and her husband had been called back to Vasile for a few weeks. So, she had wandered this far away from the main bustle and grounds in attendance to the Lords and Ladies and had enjoyed an afternoon to herself. She was oblivious to the glances she drew from the merchants, and simply strolled the street, enjoying the busy atmosphere and allowing her mind to wander in a wealth of directions.
