Matthew was, gently put, done with talking business now. He was growing a little bored of it to say the least. Mateo had done all that he asked, agreed to make arrangements and he would leave it in his friends capable hands- Matthew would expect to hear from him with regards to the meeting within the turn of the week or he would be forced to chase his good friend up and he had no wish to do that at all!
For the two to banter back and forth was natural to them. They both had playful personalities and Matthew was so at ease with most people, but Mateo was a truthful friend. He looked up to him as a great merchant, but more than that, he had respect for his skill too. This, for Matthew, had blossomed into respect as a friend and fellow man, not just that of trades purpose. Matthew made friends easily, made acquaintances better so, and he was always surrounded by groups of people. That being said, there were very few that he maintained more than a passing interest in. Mateo, in many respects, was to be adopted by Matthew as a new Nicholas. Nicholas who had been brutally murdered, who he had adored like his own brother and had kept as his best friend. The Montefiore lord had always been a close second, but now there was no one stood in his way to that first place gold…
As if consciously aware of the thought, Matthew seemed to deflate a little bit. While he paid attention to the words spoken his fingers danced in the fur of the cat on the counter.
”Would it be feasible to have your sister come by-?”
”I was hoping it would form a surprise, truthfully. Show me what you already have, design wise and I would rather pick something from that – or similar too it at least. Dee would be most excited to learn something was made specifically for her, of course, but if she knows I have picked it out she will not raise her expectations too highly.”

I feel we need to follow up on the Niccolo thing too - are you playing it out IC? Did you wish too?
