Fed twice, clothed and washed, his horse fed and groomed, Turif felt ready to find his Caliph. He had gotten some pointers as to where to find the man in this strange city among strange people. Dressed in traditional Rohari garb - not owning any different clothing - he drew eyes wherever he walked. He could hear whispers but whenever he chose to glance towards the sound it quickly stilled. He was focused on the topic on his mind, letter tucked into his clothing. There was much news for him to learn of, and little of it was pleasant to Turif. He only hoped he could keep his turmoil of thoughts and emotional reaction on the matters in check. Now was not the time to lash out, if he ever would.
Turif stood uncertain at the foot of the home he was told held the man he sought. The building was not the architecture of Zahran, clearly it was not designed by any Rohari, but that did not mean the man was not there. A knock brought a servant, whom to his relief was not surprised at his garb, and confirmed he was at the right location. He was invited in, the door was closed behind him. There was a guard posted just within who looked questioningly towards Turif, who had not come unarmed. Tucked at both hips was a scimitar, seeing as he was not taking chances on his personal safety. As expected, he was made to wait here, as the servant went to deliver a quick message to the masters of the house.
Turif had given his full name, therefore he aught to be recognized by whomever received his message. He hoped it to be Qasim, but should it have been Bashir he would have made-do for the moment. He had also asked the servant to share that he came with an important issue to bring to his attention, an envoy from Emir al-Jasham. Turif was not expecting, thus, to be kept waiting long.
