Once more Wolf had found himself brought along on one of his father's diplomatic visits of their westward neighbours. It made sense for the two of them to be in discussions often, Forestier was the closest city after the royal capital in the region. If anything major occurred, they were the second home they needed to be able to count on to come help them quickly. To ensure such scenario would happen, his father had explained to his eldest son that they needed to make time to visit them. An event that was happening once more.
For the afternoon, Wolf had been able to vanish from the numerous discussions his father had with the head of the family. With some free time on his hands, Wolf had managed to exit the castle and find refuge in the forest not too far away. While the forest wasn't the same as back home, the young boy was in his element. The sound of the breeze of wind gently shaking the leaves up in the trees along with the branches, the numerous birds calling to one another and the distant sound of a small source of water floating gently could all be heard.
The young Delacroix was dressed in some proper black fashioned tunic. His father had wanted him to make a good impression during their visit. One could never know who he'd meet, Collin had repeatedly said to him. It was better to be at their best image upon such a trip. A brown leather strap was passed over his shoulder that moved down to a rather large leather bag. There was a small bump that prevented the bag from closing properly. Upon a closer look, one would have realized the small bump was in fact a young wolf pup's head.
Wolf gently settled the bag down on the ground before opening the bag and letting Henrik out to wander a bit. The wolf had grown much since finding him a past few months. He was on the verge of growing to a full adult size by the end of the year and Wolf would need to find somewhere to hide him other than in his chambers. It was quite frankly one of the last times Wolf would be able to bring Henrik along with him on his travels without it being known. The young boy watched the pup sniff around and run a bit, until he came to a quick halt, his ears stood up and his head looked in the distance before he timidly moved to the side of Wolf's leg and closer to the bag. A few seconds later, Wolf could hear the footsteps incoming, but it was too late for him to hide Henrik in the bag. Whoever was coming would discover the little companion. Wolf could only wish that the meeting would go well.
