Appearance:
The youngest of the girst line of Gardiners, Rosemary looks quite like her siblings. Her hair is dark brown, though in certain lights can have almost an amber glow, often times tied back behind her head with ribbons of different colors or floral headbands she crafted herself. It is almost always perfectly straight. She isn't very tall, but it doesn't stop her from being herself, peppy and happy and ready for any adventure that may come to pass. Her eyes, a green/blue hue, remain seriously expressive whether she is happy, sad, or angry. She often wears rather nice dresses, as she loves to dress finely despite her love of the outdoors and being in the dirt, which often times can be seen in smears that were clearly tried to wipe away on the fabrics of some of her dresses while she wears them.
Personality:
Rosemary is full of life, happiness, and love. She finds herself at peace in the garden in the dirt, walking among the flowers or the forest, and soaking up the vitamin D from the sunshine. She does, however, had quite the rambunctious and adventurous side, which she takes full advantage of at any chance, especially with her dear friend of whom she is lady in waiting to, Princess Juliette. In their private time, away from the prying eyes of the court and visiting royalty and diplomats, they are quite mischievous, but in full view of those dignitaries she is well behaved, formal, polite, literally her best behavior. But once the court duties are over she would race off to find the nearest tree to hoist herself into.
When it comes to her family, Rosemary is the epitome of loyal. If the need arrises, she can be serious and demanding and protective of those closest to her, especially when the time calls for it. And though she has little desire for a life at court, she deals with it when she needs to be cause she knows there is much fun to be had here as well, and even the idea of marriage is exciting to the rebellious young woman.

Character History:
Rosemary was born the youngest child of Linden Gardiner, and thus never felt the pressure to learn her court mannerisms, or any at all in particular. She did, however, learn them herself on her own time, because she found even at a young age, that they were necessary to get the things she wanted. Being born into the family, she was raised on the land which she found freeing and calming, which seemed to be the opposite of what her siblings loved about it. But to Rosemary, it was coexisting with nature itself, and being unable to truly call themselves its master was uplifting and inspirational in her eyes.
Much of her life was spent outdoors enjoying and enduring nature and all that came with it. She was stung by bees, bitten by other insects and rodents, but never once did she fear it as she knew it was the same masterless nature she grew up to respect. She grew to love flowers of all kinds, though as unusual as it seemed the Rose of her namesake was not a favorite. She, in fact, enjoyed the short bloom and season of the lilac and relished the idea every year of its coming.
As she aged, she knew more and more that she wanted a freedom to explore the world, and she found it somewhat in her cherished friend Juliette Deveraux. From first meeting, the pair would be inseperable, bonding all too quickly.
Family Relationships:
Reed | Reed is the oldest, the new Duke, had been the heir. Throughout it all his good natured and happy face was a staple to her daily life, and though they were not as close as siblings closer in age were to be, they at least had a strong bond. He had been roughly 12 at the time of her birth and so he had been the one she would follow as a crawling and toddling child, though she was always scooped up and away. Once she had her own words and her own voice, her own feet to walk and stand on, she would seek him out to chat about everything and yet nothing at the same time, learned the lands briefly through him, until it was her time to really learn the Gardiner way. And so their relationship is as good as a difference of 12 years can make, even if her antics can sometimes aggravate the new Duke.
Rowan | Rosemary didn't spend much time with Rowan, even though it seemed he was near to Reed most of his time. They would joke, they would laugh, they would talk but it never grew much into a closeness that she could depend on him for late night chats if she was feeling lost. Rosemary and Rowan were siblings, who got along well, but didn't make too much time for one another outside of the home.
Lily | Growing up, Lily and Rosemary weren't very close, but they at least go along on nearly every occasion of a family time they had. Lily had always been closer to their oldest brothers, but Rosemary didn't really see an issue in it all. She had the younger siblings to contend with too, but it didn't mean she didn't occasionally glance Lily's way for an answer to what she should be doing. She watched her every move, and learned quite a bit from the quiet silent way she watched her in the gardens or in the dining room. As they grew older, Lily and Rosemary began to rekindle their sibling solidarity in becoming closer and more like friends in their adult years, of which Rosemary welcomed with open arms, even if most of her time is spent traveling between home and Bordelaix.
Mace| Since Mace was closer in age to herself than her other older siblings, she seemed to want to follow him more and more, especially once she realized at a young age the age gap between herself and Reed was far too great to hold any grounds other than protective siblings. She tried to be like him, but once he left at age 9 to become a squire, and she was 6, that idea had been lost. It wasn't until he returned years later that she began to reconnect with him, seeing him take an interest in herself and Lily, with late night chats, and very interested ears. In the two years that he had returned home, she had noticed a change from an angsty teenager who had seen things others had not, to a much more relaxed version of himself, and she sent him off on his next life adventure hoping he would stay this way. They write to one another occasionally, they see each other from time to time in Bordelaix, but their duties don't leave much room for conversations face to face.
Thorne | She and Thorne seemed to have been the closest, because of the difference of a single year. They had grown up together, learned to walk and talk together, learned the lands and of nature together. They had quite a bond, for years and years, even into their teen and adult years. Even though she often finds herself among the ladies in waiting of the high court, she still finds time to drop him letters often enough to find out what adventures he has gone on, new things he has learned, and to hear of his goals and aspirations and plans for his bright future, that she hopes he has.
Writing Sample:
Leilah had been told that the trio would make a trip to the Sandoval residence, to make good on an interaction with them and create, hopefully, a bond that is strong. She had dressed in the usual attire of her culture, a robe the color of the sands of their homeland and embroidered in gold thread, with a splash of colors as a desert cactus bloom would show. Her veil was a golden hue as well, and her hair was adorned in simple gemstone hairpieces. She had gathered up her simple gift for the household, and met Sabriyah in the entrance to their Bordelaix home. She nodded, as Amirah would come too, when Sabriyah asked that they were both ready. "As ready as I can be." She said simply in their native tongue as well, though she was quite nervous for it. A guard came up to carry the gift she had procured (a few simple delicacies of the Sands in the form of candies and some desert bloom perfumes), and she swiftly obliged it as it was normal. She followed Sabriyah out, ignoring too the curious stares of the Bordelaix residents and the sneers and jeers of those who did not know any better, but inside she was hoping they would find good company swiftly. In that moment, she was thankful for all the guards.
