The girl giggled again feeling her brother poking her side while pulling away from him, “Tristan!” But before she could get another word in her brother continued chiding her for what remarks she had been making. Gwyn couldn’t help the sigh as she set her elbow on the on the arm rest of the chair and rested her chin her hand. Him to be mute? Wait-wait! He wasn’t going to finish the story? Blinking the girl was in a state of shock, and although he still speaking to her the girl only heard half of the words. It was unfortunate she was missing the most important part of his speech, but her mind was already working on plots of revenge. He wouldn’t stay mute for long, the man simply could not do it for even now he was giving her sound advice.
“Well…” The girl went to sit up all straight and proper, “Thank you for the words of encouragement, and you are quite right about us. We should be very proud of where we are, standing on our own two feet and not needing any assistance from anyone. We are quite self-sufficient for a noble family aren’t we?” Proving herself to be capable to be out in the world on her own would be difficult, but for now she would at least practice confidence until it took root. Perhaps she had caught more of what he had said than she previously thought.
“Still, you are being utterly irrational and completely unfair brother. I only said that some men were to remain mute not all!” Huffing she went to sit back in her chair with a bit of a slump, “Secondly, I only wished for my suitors to be mute. You dear brother are not a suitor of mine nor will you ever be, so such things do not apply to you. Would you prefer that your dear sister wish to engage in all sorts of vile conversation with unmarried men?” She paused pouting slightly, “If I take it back will you tell me the story?”
Twirling her hair around her finger, Gwynevere continued speaking since her brother was staying silent, “And I don’t see how helmets protect ones face from bruising since I’d imagine the metal would still slam into your head when attacked. And why should her being in your brotherhood matter? Don’t you fight other knights to practice at least? Kael tries to force me to practice combat with him and I rarely give in into him. I don’t see why you couldn’t have fought that female knight to at least see if she was as good as you.” The girl shrugged giggling, “Or maybe you were scared she would have beaten you brother?"
