Daniel hadn't seen nor heard from Pierre in a long while now. His definition of long in this case was admittedly perhaps shorter than assumed, even just a couple day's without hearing from the Knight was enough to send Daniel into a mood. However now it had been longer even than that and it had him chomping at the bit. He'd paced about a room aimlessly more than once, furiously trying to think of what he aught to do. He didn't want to talk to Dederik about it because he didn't want his cousin to think any less of Pierre, like perhaps he was too busy or in other ways slacking in his responsibilities as a Knight to his Squire. Pierre was firmly on a golden pedestal for the young Delamara and he intended to do his best to keep him there.
Now with the next month begun, he felt a certain line of dread that he was being left behind. Still, he thought if this was but a challenge, a test, he must pass it. He must show patience, and he aught continue his training. That's what Pierre would want, he figured. He spent his time in half, thus, with his family, and at the training grounds. Sometimes he found a sparring partner, and sometimes he had no such luck. He'd had the poor idea to accept the sparring invitation of one of the bigger boys who had previously shown to be mean if only in subtle ways - explained to him as jealousy. That exchange had left him with a bad shoulder for a couple of days and more than one bruise.
But today, he tried again. He couldn't and wouldn't let those boys keep him away from what he truly wished to do and be. He would train harder to become better. And when he was done growing, fitting into a bigger, stronger body of his own, he would challenge them to a duel and show him their error. Well, that's what he fantasized anyways, but likely he'd never see the boys again after they left the capital, or at least not recognize them. He had with him a wooden sword and shield, and was off to the side of a practice area, looking to see whom else might be in need of a match. He recognized most of the faces by now, seeing as he made the area a second home.

I hope this works! If the date or details don't fit for you, let me know. I also tagged it "open" for any other person who might be where they are - but I can change it to a closed thread, too.
