Rosalinda was stood in the courtyard of the "royal" palace, that of their Deveraux hosts. Truthfully, Rosalinda enjoyed being there, or inside the palace proper, for her own perverse reasons. She felt closer to the throne somehow, though she knew logically the throne would find itself not here in Faucheux but home in Nacimiento, which of course was the better land - but that was neither here nor there. She felt closer to snatching the throne here.
They were in the Deveraux home, plain and obvious, so close to that title the other family falsely coveted, as though the Sandovals were just going to peacefully entertain the situation. Somehow, it felt brazen and bold, and right, to make the statement of her presence right where she - and her family - belonged. A constant reminder to the false family that they were a real threat. She did not agree that pretending to be friendly, to have buried the hammer, was the right strategy, not that any self-respecting Deveraux would believe it. No, she knew herself a threat to their claim, just as much as any other Sandoval child.
Plus, currently, she was there under proper reason. A group was leaving the capital and of what she'd heard they were heading North. It wasn't a great accomplishment that Rosalinda had noticed the absence of the Romanov's, and being neighbouring to their lands, she knew of the turmoil there. She wasn't keen on enjoying the Deveraux poaching the situation, and the wheels in her mind were still turning on a counter move. With the Deveraux making their advance, theirs would have to come, if it hadn't already been under way - including that which she'd discussed with Angelia just last night.
For the moment, she was simply biddings farewells and seeing off the delegation. It was a ripe opportunity for gossip and socialization which was just up her alley. She and her maid were stood off to a side, watching as the last of the groups left the area, the sound of it all a ruckus for still some distance to go.
