Rosalinda had taken a family carriage out into the countryside earlier that day for a picnic with a handful of choice people. She had remained behind with the servants to clean up when all was said and done, while her guests had taken their own carriage to return into the city proper. They set off on the well-worn road, which spit up dirt from the recent rainfall, and rocks which had flow into the way from previous riders. The pace was slow, but they would be back much before the next meal time, offering ample time to bathe and change, to be presentable. Of course, Rosalinda wasn't exactly not presentable, but she fit the outing she had attended, rather than anything more proper.
A jarring motion was felt, before the carriage stabilized, catching the Lady's attention. It wasn't until they swerved again and she heard a certain "pop" sound that she suspected something was rather wrong. By now, the horse had faltered, the weight of the carriage pulling it down, and the whole thing toppled over. The unimpressed Sandoval woman gave a sound of surprise as she lost her balance, and barely avoided a full collision with the ground by a combination of grabbing for the curtain and landing on her maid. Mud had splashed into the open window which had fallen onto the road, dirtying her face, hair and dress.
It was not long before the driver had hurried to open the door, asking about the state of the two women in the cabin. A hand was given to her, accepted by her gloved right hand, while she was pulled out rather not gracefully. "What in the Gods was that?!" She demanded angrily, to her driver, as she removed her glove with haste. Upon doing so, she wiped at what dirt she could feel on her face, rigidly straightening her back so as to not seem to be panicking at the desire to be clean again. She could see that the wheel had loosened somehow, despite the driver having answered her question, but it didn't really follow the intention of her question.
"Did you not check first the state of the carriage before we made this travel?" Now she dared a glance down at her dress, and sucked in a breath to see the damage done.

I figure perhaps she can save the day by coming down the road, perhaps after having repaired the Connell's wagon and now taking it for a test-ride?
