Nicolette smiled, glad to hear her sister concede the point but not surrender her hopes and possible plans. "Let's get past the Harvest Festival, and then we'll sit down and makes some plans. Will that work for you?" She had worried for some time about Juliette, about her seeming reluctance to mature, to take her place as a Princess of Archades and the responsibility that came with the title. Hearing this was no small relief to her, especially as it would help in the prospect of making a potential marriage of State.
Grateful to her sister, knowing Martine had other responsibilities at hand - specifically , the bardic competition - she nodded with a small smile. "Good, I'm glad to hear it. You've met Lord Nicholas Remington, as you may recall." Juliette had been part of the welcome waiting for the Remington siblings in Lavigne, then escorted them to Bordelaix. "But I would also like to see his sister more included in court. There is also Prince Morgan of Wyreth too, and I do not recall if you've been introduced to him. If not, I will make sure that happens."
The question posed regarding Sokoku made her pause to consider. "Not that I know of, but perhaps you might like to speak with Lord Deliambre about the possibility of extending an invitation to one of their ambassadors? The Deliambres, I seem to recall, are the only ones from Archades with whom the people of Sokoku will trade. He would logically be the best choice to facilitate that."
The eagerness in Juliette's face intrigued Nicolette, seeing just how excited and intrigued her sister was by the prospect of meeting foreign and potentially exotic people. Her sister was rather sheltered, she privately admitted. Since Juliette could not travel to these places, then perhaps it was time to open the doors of the realm wide as her father had not. If nothing else, peaceful meetings and trade agreements would stand them in good stead.
