There wasn't much of a secret at all that Juliette enjoyed gravitating around the Royal Stables. She was one of the most frequent patrons of the establishments, personally knowledgeable of all the horses that were permanently kept there. She often dropped in to help groom, or take out for a ride, one of the many prize horses the Royal family owned. While she didn't mind humans for company, there was something else about the beautiful animals. She understood them, and they seemed to understand her. She was more than happy for that bond she had, which in her mind gave her a strength and a uniqueness to help distinguish her from being just another daughter of the King.
The day was a bit chilly, the winter was slowly arriving and leaving its mark upon the environment they lived in. It wasn't as though this was the first winter she'd survived, but every year, around this time of the season, she seemed to remember anew what it was like. She appreciated how her breath caught in the morning, how the dew on the ground chilled her slippered feet, and that soon she'd have to forgo her footwear of choice altogether for warm boots. Still, none of that was particularly bad in her eyes, nor would it keep her away from her favored pastime.
She came into the stables with a greeting for those who worked there and some small conversation. As she often did, she shared a breakfast with them, well more so a drink and a fruit than anything elaborate; Juliette did not want to impede on their stock of food or dime. After some morning chores were concluded with her help, Juliette chose a horse, a beautiful white and grey male, and hopped upon his saddle with ease. From there, she trotted along inside the sizeable arena privately having a conversation with her mount.
