Not oblivious to his sister's reaction to large groups of people or to strangers at all, Amaury had still asked for her to come join him for a gander about the festival grounds. He did not want to isolate himself, nor did he think she would be miserable if they kept together. This would be an experience worth remembering, he was sure. It was hardly every year that the Festival was held of this size, and many of the smaller events had made a return of what he understood from what was posted and chattered about.
The weather was holding up, the opportunity was ripe for a good gander about the grounds. The two of them were not so recognizable that he thought they would attract much attention and they could keep to themselves as much as was possible in a crowd. Amaury had in mind for them to try the cornfield maze - it sounded like fun - and perhaps to see what vendors were set up. Maybe he could buy her, as well as his other siblings, a little token to remember these days by. There was one other thing he wanted for Liselle to do, which was sign up for the Bardic contest -- he thought perhaps she could sing a poem, but he'd have to see her reaction to the idea when they got there.
Amaury waited for her just at the courtyard beyond their home in the Lavender Quarter, where their carriage was waiting to whisk the duo away. Amaury was making small talk with the chauffeur and the footman who had come outside for the sake of some company before he would be released to other duties. Finally he could see her approaching, and he nodded that the door be opened and his sister assisted into place. "I thought perhaps you were going to change your mind," he grinned, teasing her gently.
