Rosalinda sat alone in antechamber to her room, where she normally held company. Now however, the room was quiet, only the 'twanging' of her loom as she threaded with ease. She was making a little tapestry for the coming holidays. One she wanted to present to her father as a gift. The bright colours were just a little thing that she loved about the piece. She was hoping to depict the Great Virgin with her babe in the colours that they deserved. Let no one say that Rosalinda Sandoval was not a pious woman. She attended Mass and the reverent holidays that was expected by any woman. Giving a soft smile to her face she watched her fingers work deftly on the loom, pulling, twisting, threading. Pulling, twisting, threading. Monotonous work to most, but it was a calming tool for her.
Her dress was a darker colour than she would have liked, but it had been months since she had decided to wear it. The dark red really brought out her light features, her dark hair shining along with her eyes. Her smile deepened as she looked at her graceful dainty hands. They were still lovely, along with the rest of her. She really was beautiful, she knew that. Hell, everyone knew that. Preening in the quiet of her room she gave a small stretch as she looked out the open window. Bright sunshine and blue skies are what greeted her from the open space. A strange difference from the stark stone walls.
Shifting slightly to stand and walk to the window she placed her warm hands on the slightly cool stone, feeling the ever there light breeze ruffle through her straight hair. Grabbing a lock she toyed with it slightly as she took in the quiet space around her. She had sent away the women after hours of lively chit-chat and not so juicy secrets. The castle had become a little withered as far as any news that could be held over somebody. Which in the long run...meant quiet business for her. Perhaps she should pay a visit to the Duke of Shelbourne? He was an open bachelor and not un-attractive. Her smile turned girlish as she looked down in a blush.
So lost in her young girlish thoughts about a potential marriage, she almost didn't hear the footsteps behind, light as they were...
