Appearance:
As with most of his family Pierre inherited the distinctive blond hair. He regularly maintains his hair and keeps it short, he feels that long hear only gets in the way. He shaves often, not letting it grow to get a beard or moustache.
He has a handsome face and deep blue eyes in which one can sink into a trance if they stare too long. Pierre stands tall at 6 feet and along with the time he spends out in the open air he has gained a light tan from the sun.
Due to his busy training schedule he has become quite muscular. His arms visibly large with muscles and his torso showing off an impressive six-pack.
He enjoys to dress comfortably but simple when in everyday garments. However he ensures he always has something to wear when a there is a ball or guests at the residence. His armour fits him perfectly, matching the contours of is body
perfectly. His best friend and sword is one he crafted himself with the help and teachings of the blacksmith. Having saved his life before he ensures it never leaves his side.
Personality:
Being the son of the marshal and a great warrior Pierre was placed in the life of knighthood at an early age. His father ensured that he received the best training that he could provide, from athletics to swordplay, horse-riding and writing.
Pierre adopted many of the traits of a knight, starting with discipline. He followed the orders which he was given to the letter. Training along with some fellow children he learned the loyalty which bonded them together. Standing by ones side each strengthening each others weaknesses.
Entering his teenage years Pierre was assigned a mentor, a friend of Jean-Luc and a respected knight. He was someone who could teach Pierre the advanced skills of swordplay as well as the life of a knight in court. Pierre followed him wherever he was allowed to go, letting everything he learnt be soaked into his brain. His mentor also ensured that he trained with some of the older squires. This is where the Pierre learned the real art of combat. These trainees did not know him and showed no compassion. Pierre even though he knew victory was impossible still faced off his opponent. He watched their moves, learning their strengths and weaknesses, watching where the unguarded hole would show itself. Many of these training battles were lost, but he gained more knowledge than ever before and was prepared to fight again on their next meeting, now armed with new tactics and the knowledge of their weaknesses.
When travelling with his mentor they were attacked by bandits. Two guards were quickly incapacitated and the other two defending their wounded friends. To Pierre's side his mentor had been wounded by an arrow to the side. Pierre on his horse brandished his sword and charged those which dared stand before him. He sliced with his sword through the soft flesh of the men in-front of him. Those which were lucky escaped. Those bandits which were injured were taken prisoner to face justice for their crimes. His actions today would award him the title of Knight, this was the proudest moment of Pierre's life and he swore to do his duty to the fullest. Fellow knights used Pierre as an example in their training as he showed the traits of Honour, Courage, Loyalty, Honest, Respect, Integrity and Compassion.
Specific Skills or Abilities:
Swordplay - Having been taught by some of the greatest knights Pierre is well averse in the art of the sword. He is not an opponent that you would want to stand against.
Horse Riding - Having the privileged to own a horse Pierre made full use of it. He rode in the evenings and in his free time. He enjoyed the freedom of exploration it gave him.
Strategy & Tactics - Having read up on military history, tactics and strategy he knows that the decisions he makes must be the right ones. Having also played chess with the elders of the court it has taught him patience and insight.
Character History:
Born as the eldest son in his family Pierre had the task to ensure its safety. His father's position gave him the chance to learn so much about the military affairs of the Kingdom. As well his family name brought him into the the circles of life in the royal court.
He spent much of his time training with his brother Anton. However it was clear that the natural talent had been passed down to Pierre and not his younger brother. He desperately tried his best and Pierre made all the effort he could in helping him earn his fathers appreciation. Pierre continued his training and improved his talent. He looked up greatly to his father, hoping that one day he could as great as he is. Being promoted and becoming a member of the Order was one of the greatest honours in Pierre's life. He had done so much to get to this moment he would never give it away. He would continue training, ensuring he was at his peak condition in order to serve the Kingdom.
The loss of his mother was a devastating blow to Pierre and his family. Grieving was something new to him and he spent most of his time in the library, diving into the books of military history in order to forget now empty space in which his mother one was. However he was forced back into reality when his siblings noticed he had silently taken a turn for the worse. Jean-Luc was depressed, saddened by his loss. Pierre knew now was his time as guardian of his family to act. He spent as much time as he could with his father in order to bring him back to his former self. The two of them bonded greatly over that period as they spoke of common interests.
With recent events as they are, Pierre has become even more dedicated to the Clavigers and his goal of becoming their next leader. He is also more and more weary of the trouble brewing around the kingdom. He guards his heart closely, and is reluctant to pay any interest in the pleasures of life.
Writing Sample:
The rain poured down from the dark stormy skies above. There were only two figures left on the training ground. They used the glow from the surrounding buildings to watch each others moves. Their feet slowly circled the training ground
as there shoes made no sound on the wet cobble ground. In their arms they held a wooden shield, battered by years of pounding, accompanying the came a wooden swords, blunt however still painful if it was to hit you.
Pierre was drenched but paid no interest to the weather, he watched how the muscles in his opponents body tensed, Pierre stopped bracing for the attack that was to come. The boy across from him let out a yell as he swung his sword down, at the same time Pierre had brought up his shield to block the attack. He pushed his shield forwards knocking his opponent of balance, which created and opening in his defence. Pierre moved his shield and in one smooth stroke brought the sword forward. He stopped it just before it would hit the skin and do damage. He looked up at his opponents eyes which were wide with shock, he stood frozen just staring down at the sword. Pierre took it back and placed it in his sheath.
'A good attempt Anton, however next time you should not alert the enemy with a scream.' Pierre would joke offering his brother a hand shake. Together they would walk back inside into the warmth the fire offered.
