Lady Fontaine had dismounted her steed while waiting for the arrival of the two Gardiner men. Having removed the bit and bridle from her personal steed the woman allowed Ranger to graze freely while she adjusted her leather riding gloves. There was a small smile to herself knowing full well that Jessamine would have scolded her in a choice of dress. While perhaps she ought to have presented herself more the lady, but Tamara opted for one of her riding dresses of her own design. Although the ride was mainly an excuse to discuss business with the Gardiner Duke it was also an opportunity to have a break from Boredelaix. While the capital had lovely flatlands and forest the lavender quarter was far more urban than what her family was used to. The woman did enjoy the difference in scenery, but there were times when the capital became too populated making her long for the open wilderness. That sentiment and the boredom of tea parties had been why she had out an invitation to go out riding with the Duke of Shelbourne and his brother. Of course, the lady could have omitted the younger brother but thought for the sake of appearance it would best to invite another member of the Gardiner family for such an outing.
Of course with her, she had her own two guardsmen of her house with to aid in protection. One of them her former mentor along with his the new squire he had taken with him. Both men were still mounted atop their own steeds maintaining a distance between themselves and the Countess as they waited. Briefly, her blue eyes fell over the two men before going to look back at the horizon trying to determine the time. Mentally Tamara was going over all the items she wished to discuss with the Duke, she was curious about the man having seen him around during various events, but never having an introduction. The Fontaines in their long history were once connected to the Gardiners family, but the move to Estersea had put distance in the relationship. Hopefully now would be the time to reconnect?
