Personal sanctuaries... I wouldn't dare divulge them lest for the time we are here I lose my only places of refuge.
The Countess was unable to stop herself from smirking with a knowing grin at such a sentiment, “As you wish Rowan… such sanctuaries are indeed rare treasures…” Although she was curious as to what secret place the other man found she resisted further questioning him. Of course, she had a few places of refuge herself, but they were not as isolated in the capital as she would have liked. As much as Tamara liked to be completely on her own as a Countess and with her family's recent history venturing into the wild on her alone was simply unwise. It didn’t mean she did not miss the days of her youth when such precautions didn’t even cross her mind.
Her attention turned back to the Duke curious to see if he’d accept her gift of the ponies in return. If he did it would be a good test to see if she could gain more interest in Shelbourne for the Fontaine’s unique breed of pony. The lady inclined her head, “Then it is settled, Reed, and believe me I think you will find yourself pleasantly surprised by their usefulness.” Straightening the lady continued, “I can assure you our supplies are quite steady and we have a large number of herds that we cross breed regularly. I have also taken the liberty of having some samples prepared so you can take a closer inspection if you so wish to do so…”
The Countess was a bit surprised at how open or at ease with his schedule the Lord seemed to be, but then again he perhaps was far more organized than herself? “Then, perhaps before the royal feast? The 6th of November?” It would give her several days to prepare for hosting and give her family some more introductions before the end of the harvest festival.
