With the drama of Vasile compounded now by the drama in Bordelaix, her head was spinning. Nothing terrible had become her family, Tamhas was still safely back home, her father had kept them safe and quiet during the events unfoldin in the Chateau. It was traumatic, to say the least. She had made a small shriek without being able to help herself to see the familiar Lady in Waiting, Carlotta Deliambre, being cut down by one of their own Clavigers. Thankfully she hadn't seen the Princess Royal's demise but the news of it was just as bad to hear. It all left quite a mark on the redhead Lady's memory and emotions. She yearned to give Marie-Louise a tight hug, and to never again be in the presence of the Clavigers again. Needless to say, she did not trust them any longer. Maybe some whom she'd grown familiar with in Vasile, but for a whole, to see the emblem made her shudder.
In an attempt to regain normalcy as time moved on, she tried to socialize. Her visits were spotty, she didn't care much for going out at all. Indeed there were a few friends whom she'd neglected to visit upon lately, one of which was a particular breath of fresh air as she reminded Isobel Cameron of home. That was the Lady Elizabeth Sinclair. With her former betrothal having been foiled, she'd heard rumours that Elizabeth might return to the Sinclair home in Ashworth, which made it aweful tempting for Isobel to also want to return home. Court was quickly losing its appeal, despite the Sandovals now trying to hold peace and decorum at a premium. She didn't know what to make of the new King and his family, however, and what fairytale that Bordelaix had once been for her was now much too real.
She had not written ahead, and perhaps she should have. It wasn't an assumption that Lizzie was not a busy woman, to never receive visitors, but rather than Isobel had gone where she'd felt in that moment and that had brought her to the Sinclair home-away-from-home. She was admitted into the waiting room by the house servants, many of whom were familiar with the redhead, and soon thereafter was led towards Elizabeth's chambers. Isobel of course knew where these were already, but she didn't mind politely accepting the directions. Finally, she came upon her friend and felt a certain sigh within herself release. "Lizzie, I hope you weren't too busy, I just felt the need to come see you."
