It was too soon for Wilhelm to say if his discussion with Nicolette had gone well or horribly wrong. There were many things to process and he needed time to do so. As always, the young Romanov man had been quick on departing Vanderhall to come retrieve his youngest sister without placing a second thought on the implications that could possibly come from this. Now, Wilhelm could be relaxed knowing that his sister was still present in Lockewood and that she wasn't going to run off once more. He'd have to deal with the repercussions of his decision with Nicolette and Marcus soon enough, however, for the remaining hours in the evening, Wilhelm needed to change his mind.
Rarely had he travelled to Lockewood, the young man was uncertain what exactly there was to do. He knew it was probably the best option to make his presence known to Reed soon, but such a meeting was best kept for tomorrow. Not wanting to return to the soldiers in the tavern that had accompanied him on the trip, there was only one other destination that Wilhelm could think of and even then he wasn't certain if she'd appreciate his presence.
A couple of minutes passed before Lord Wilhelm was able to find a servant willing to direct him to the chambers of the young brunette that had grasped his attention and a portion of his heart back in Vanderhall. On his way to her door, the young man picked up a small red rose from a vase of flowers that another servant was carrying down the corridor.
Wilhelm silently exhaled as he brought his right hand up and lightly knocked twice on the door. The corridor was silent and his light knock had been the only sound aside from his earlier footsteps to echo throughout the hallway. As the seconds passed since his knocks, Wilhelm grew more fearful of the possibility of being sent to the wrong chamber. He placed both of his hands behind his back so the rose was hidden in case of being sent to the wrong door.
