Three moons had risen and fallen since the allegations against his brother was brought to his awareness. An evening and a discussion he had wishfully hoped to be merely a work of his imagination during his sleep. Yet, Wilhelm awoke and fell asleep three times since that evening and none of them had changed the reality of the situation. Drinks, dance and games had not brought him away from the accusations that wandered in his mind.
Departing from the tavern in town, Wilhelm took the morning to bathe in the chamber offered to him by Reed as the warmth of the water helped the young man restore his energy. The remainder of the morning was spent preparing for the moment in which he found himself that particular afternoon. With the assistance of Reed, Wilhelm had been given a proper working area from where he could with the help of a scribe for the written notes from those who had information that could help clarify the events that had brought the deaths of numerous Romanovs.
From inside the study, Wilhelm was seated behind a table. His brown eyes stared out the window at the gardens of the Gardiners. The family had a remarkable talent to grow everything that could be grown from the soil provided to them by the divines. It was a similar talent to those of the Romanovs, both could mold their environments to provide the resources needed for their survival. It was this kind of gift that allowed families to survive through history.
The scribe was seated at a small table found to the side of the desk where Wilhelm would interrogate those that deemed to hold details on the crimes committed against his blood. The investigation was to begin with the testimony of Lord Alexander, his cousin who had recently been promoted to Royal Archivist. A messenger had been dispatched to find and guide the scientist to the study room on such a lovely sunny day.
