Originally a one-day trip, Wilhelm was now in Lockewood for an undefined period of time. If at first his thoughts were negative towards this prolonged stay in the city where Sage lived, they had slowly begun to fade for a more positive vision of his trip. The encounter of a young and charming lady the previous day had played an undeniable role in his change of heart. Gwyn had been a source of comfort even if they had merely walked around the market glancing at the different merchandise that the various artisans had for sale. Wilhelm had held his promise to her and had allowed the young lady to depart the market with the one object she had desired the most.
A promise that was bound to go noticed back at home upon his return. Wilhelm had taken a fair amount of gold from the treasury in case a ransom had to be paid for the return of Lady Elsa. Though, the young man was confident that his brother would shrug the financial concern. The Romanovs were high likely not as wealthy as they had once been nor were they the wealthiest now, but they still remained a family that had a good amount of gold in their hold. Regional trade would quickly refill the portion Wilhelm had taken from the treasury.
However, even if finance were not of a concern for them, Wilhelm refrained from being close to the market that afternoon instead finding peace close to the Gardiners' stable. The sun was high in the sky, but the young lord had found comfort under the shadow of a tree with a bottle of wine and a loaf of bread. The sound of the horses blended with the sound of the soft breezes that passed through the leaves above him. Wilhelm wore a loose white shirt with a pair of black leather pants and boots.
