Mace had made plans to meet up with his cousin while they all were in Lockewood, hoping it would be a happy reunion. His memories of her were good ones, him only being two years older than her. He left when he was about 13 years old to further his training for knighthood. He had seen her, a little surprised to learn it was her. They hadn't seen each other for years and time goes by fast. People had a tendency to change in that time too and he hoped she would recognize it's him. He found her leaving from the apothecary which is where he caught up to her. "Lady Annemarie?" He asked, wondering if she even remembered him. He hadn't seen any of his family in a very long time, knowing that was mostly his fault for burying himself in his training as well as choosing a life outside of gardening and healing people. He admired the work his family had done, knowing they were considered the heart of Archades but at the same time, healing and gardening was not for him.
If he said he wasn't nervous, he would be lying. He hid it very well though, smiling slightly. "I don't know if you remember me or not but it's me, your cousin...Mace. Certainly has been a long time, hasn't it? Last time I saw you, you were much shorter and less accomplished in life. I was pretty much stuck to your side in silence while you worked with herbs. Your intelligence and success travels, cousin...but it's been long enough since we last saw each other and I was hoping you might have some free time to walk with me and catch up on lost time. I understand if you don't, I just thought I'd ask." He said, feeling a little awkward and out of place. He didn't want to feel estranged from his tight-knit family anymore. He decided that as he stood there looking at someone who he used to be very close to.
