Annemarie laughed quietly to herself, feeling like she was spending far less time in her typical scholarly and herbal pursuits and increasingly more in playing the socialite. Introductions were being made far and wide, forming a kind of network between her friends and family prior to their departure for Bordelaix within a few days, people who needed to meet before traveling together. As she laid out the means of a light picnic - food served well to break the ice and make people comfortable - she contemplated who was joining her for today's meet-and greet.
Gwyn had yet to meet Alexander and Elsa, and she had extended an invitation to Dahlia and to her brother Casper as well to join in if they were minded to do so. The more the merrier, Anne felt, as these were the people closest to her heart, her own exclusive cabal of loved ones. Once more making use of the walled garden that was often considered Anne's personal space within the vast Gardiner estate, she'd left directions for everyone to join her at their leisure, intending to make a pleasant afternoon of it.
Humming to herself as she adjusted the broad brimmed hat shading her nose, Annemarie weighed down the corners of the blanket with the baskets holding the food and drinks, then scattered the cushions for ease of sitting and conversation. This would be one of her last visits to Lockewood for a long time and she wished her memory of it to be pleasant. Once her loved ones began to arrive, then then she would truly be content.
